Handmade from wooden buttons, so the grain and the paint finish vary between pairs, and the markings on the animal print pair are not identical from one earring to the other. No measurement is published here, because the size given by the maker does not match the photographs. The second photograph shows the pairs loose, including one turned over, so you can judge the scale and see the fitting. All three colourways are photographed together and the price is for one pair.
EHC stands for the earring that heard the conversation, the maker's idea that a button spends its working life holding clothes together while hearing everything said over it. Two of these pairs are painted and one is left as the wood came, with markings drawn over the grain. There is no traditional motif here and the listing does not claim one. The connection is the maker, working in Ibadan, Nigeria, and printing her own cards with NIGERIA under the name.

Flat wooden button stud earrings with two stitch holes, sold as one pair in pink, yellow or a natural animal print. These are the flattest earrings in the collection. The buttons have no raised rim, so they lie almost level against the ear, which makes them the pair to reach for when you want the width of a statement stud without anything standing proud of your face. The animal print pair is the one that goes with everything, because it is a wood tone first and a pattern second. They are cut from wood, so the grain shows at the cut edge and no two faces take the paint quite the same way. The markings on the natural pair are irregular rather than machine even, so the two earrings in that pair are close but not identical. The post is fixed to the back of the button, so nothing shows from the front. Keep them dry. Wood and water do not agree, so take them off before washing your face.
