A handwoven lidded basket in natural fibre, with a dyed purple motif. The body is built in coils, each wound and wrapped by hand, with a band of openwork near the rim and a matching fitted lid. A twisted fibre cord loop is threaded through the lid, so you can carry the basket or hang it on a hook. One side carries a hand dyed motif in purple and soft orange against the natural colour of the fibre. It suits accessories, keys, hair ties, craft supplies and other small things you want kept covered, or it can sit on a shelf as a piece of decor. The openwork rows leave small gaps, so very fine items such as loose beads may slip through. Measures about 30 x 25 x 25 cm, as given by the seller.
