Beautiful Red Flower Painting

An original acrylic painting of a woman pausing on her way to look at a red flower. She stands with a load balanced on her head, one hand raised to steady it, in a pale top and an orange and red wrap skirt, while a single red flower opens in the green bush beside her. The background is laid in with the knife in layers of green, brown, orange and yellow, so the surface is textured and catches the light. The Ghanaian artist Alex Mensah, who paints as Lexis, means it as a reminder to slow down in a busy life and notice the small things that matter. It measures 13 x 20 inches, about 33 x 51cm, and is signed LEXIS at the lower right. There is one only. It ships rolled in a tube, unstretched and unframed.
