Each backpack is woven by hand, so the weave and colour differ slightly from bag to bag and from the photos, and colours may look a little different on screen. The plain natural backpack is shown with a darker leather flap than the pink and blue ones. The inside and the cotton lining are not pictured, so message the seller if you would like to see them.
Woven sisal bags are a long standing East African craft, made from the fibre of the sisal plant and twisted into cord before weaving. This backpack puts that weave into a shape made for daily use, with leather trim to carry the weight.
Dispatch in 1-2 weeks. Delivery windows vary by destination at checkout.
Returns within 14 days.

A hand woven sisal backpack with a genuine leather flap, buckle and straps. The body is woven from sisal in a tight, textured weave, finished at the top with a leather flap that closes with a strap and buckle. Two long leather shoulder straps and a short leather grab handle let you wear it on your back or carry it by hand. The maker lines it with cotton. It is sized for everyday carrying, with room for a phone, wallet, books and a laptop such as a MacBook, so it works for school, work and errands. Choose from three colourways: pink, blue (a blue and white weave), or plain natural sisal. Each one is photographed. Size: about 35 x 30 x 15cm. Materials: woven sisal, genuine leather, cotton lining. Care: spot clean the sisal with a damp cloth and let it dry in the air. Keep the leather away from soaking and treat it with a leather balm now and then.
