This one takes that cut and works it in glossy mikado, in two loud colour blocks made for a room full of guests.

A floor length boubou gown in mikado satin, lime yellow over hot pink. The upper half is lime yellow, with full puffed sleeves and soft gathering through the bodice and waist. The lower half falls in hot pink to the floor. A pink band runs from the V neckline down the centre front to the hem, tying the two colours together. Mikado has a crisp, glossy body, so the sleeves and skirt hold their shape and volume rather than clinging.
