Every pair is assembled by hand, so the buttons and the drops sit slightly differently from the photograph. Colours can look a little different on screen. Sold as a pair, on the printed card shown.
This range is called the earring that heard the conversation. A button spends its first life holding a garment together, and here it sits at the ear instead, listening in on everything you carry through the day. The pieces are made in Ibadan in south west Nigeria, assembled by hand one pair at a time and sent out on the maker's own printed card.

A handmade drop earring built from coffee brown buttons and a large gold tone hoop, with a second smaller button hanging inside the ring. If you want the scale of a statement hoop without a bright colour, this is the pair to reach for. Brown reads as a neutral against tan, cream, denim and black, where this maker's fuchsia rose pair and orange amber pair are deliberately loud. Pick those when you want the colour to do the talking, and this one when you want the shape to. Construction: a four hole button sits at the ear as the stud, a jump ring carries the gold tone hoop, and a second button, brown with a pale rim, hangs inside the hoop so it swings clear of the ring. About 7cm long from the top of the stud. Care: put them on after perfume and hairspray, keep them dry, and store them flat on the card they arrive on.
