This is a one of a kind original, signed by the artist. It ships unframed, rolled in a tube. Photos 2 and 3 are close ups of the same canvas. Colours may look slightly different on your screen.
The painting shows two women at dawn, eyes closed, taking a quiet moment before sunrise to reflect on their lives and goals. The artist uses subtle washes of brown to bring out the natural beauty of the whole composition, with patterned cloth, a headdress and a hoop earring drawing on African dress and adornment.

An original painting of two African women in washes of brown on canvas. It is good to sometimes take a pause and reflect on your life. Avoiding any distractions, these women come out once in a while, early at dawn into the open space, before sunrise, to breathe in the fresh breath of life, and with their eyes closed reflect on their life goals and how to achieve them. Subtle tones of brown have been used to create a solemn atmosphere that reflects the moment, with a rising sun behind the two figures and patterned cloth and a hoop earring picked out in fine dark line. The painting measures 7 x 10 inches (about 18 x 25cm) and is signed LEXIS in the lower right corner. It is a one of a kind original, painted by hand, and ships unframed, rolled in a tube. A small piece, it suits a desk wall, a reading corner or a gallery wall grouping. Care: keep out of direct sunlight and away from damp. Unroll gently on arrival and have it framed or mounted by a framer.
