A dried gourd bottle with a long slender neck, coloured deep red and engraved by hand. Bands of zigzags, wavy lines and triangles are cut through the red surface to the pale skin beneath, running round the body and up the neck, and a giraffe is engraved in one of the panels low on the body. The gourd stands upright on a round foot. Each one grows its own shape, so the curve of the neck and the patterns differ from piece to piece. Sold as a decorative piece, not for holding food or drink. Dust with a soft dry cloth and keep it dry.
