Product description

Overview

The child I left behind. Growing up is inevitable. The stranger thing I did was leave the child in me uncared for. This piece looks at the pursuit of maturity and the child I sacrificed for it. It asks me why I hardened my heart just to prove a point, and it catches me mid thought, wishing I could go back and smile that broadly again, to wonder, to play, to hope in the purest form of innocence. Her face is built from hand painted blocks of green and ochre, a pixel mosaic that only settles into a child once you step back.
