African Beaded Jewellery Set - Black Necklace, Bracelet & Earrings

A three piece beaded jewellery set in black, banded at intervals with red, green, blue and white beads and finished with gold tone caps. Multiple black cord strands are bound together at regular points along their length, so the colour sits in blocks against the black rather than running the whole way round. Includes one multi strand collar necklace, one matching bracelet and one pair of drop earrings. Black does something the brighter sets do not. It reads as jewellery rather than as costume, which means this one earns its place on an ordinary Tuesday as well as at a wedding. Wear all three pieces together when you want the full effect, or take the bracelet and earrings on their own with a plain shirt and nobody would call it a lot. The necklace fastens at the back with a gold tone clasp and a short chain, so you can set it higher on the collarbone or let it drop. Every strand is strung by hand, so the spacing of the colour bands varies slightly from set to set. Care: take the set off before perfume, lotion or water, all of which dull the beads and weaken the cord.
