My journey with crochet began with a love for creating beautiful things by hand. What started as a personal passion gradually grew into Phanice Designs, my handmade fashion brand based in Tanzania. As the founder and creator, I personally crochet my pieces and take pride in being involved in every part of the process. From selecting materials and developing designs to crocheting, finishing, and preparing each piece, I put time and care into what I make. My journey has been one of learning, experimenting, and growing as both a designer and entrepreneur. I continue to challenge myself to create crochet fashion that feels modern, stylish, and distinctive rather than mass-produced. What makes Phanice Designs special is the craftsmanship behind every piece. Crochet takes time, patience, skill, and attention to detail. Each item is handmade individually, giving it its own character and making it more personal than something produced by a machine. I am also inspired by Tanzania's beautiful culture, coastal lifestyle, colours, and sense of fashion. I want my designs to reflect that beauty while creating pieces that can be enjoyed by customers both in Tanzania and around the world.
